Preview-"Great White Cloud"

This is a sample of a post from my new blog. I started it to get some more thoughts out. So the posts might be longer and more in depth and more random. Be sure to check it out. There is a link under my "fam" heading. Be sure to check it out.

I went for a walk in the evening today and listened to a few podcasts. One was Rich Nathan of The Vineyard of Columbus and he was talking about division in the church. He mentioned something that happened in mid Janurary, about 31 pastors in Central Ohio filing a grievance with the IRS about World Harvest lead by Rod Parsly and another Central Ohio area church, that they were supporting a politician. The 31 pastors want these churches to loose their tax exemption status and other given rights. As Nathan spoke I was thinking, "what team are these guys on?' Nathan referenced 1 Corinthians 6:1 "If any of you has a dispute with another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the saints?"
The idea of leaving the courts out of it, just go to someone who you have a problem with and work it out. Peacefully. He went on to talk about both parties, one is talking in military lingo, "lock and load" and the other from the report, just went and got the IRS because they felt what was happening was not right. Forget about talking to them like it says in Matthew 18:15-20. Somehow we have become this "Lets gettem" people. Nathan says its not about winning a war but about winning people. And how we do this is through "treating our opponents with grace and mercy and meekness..."

Will Rod Parsley ever not be the center of a dispute? Probably not. You know who this is...

Nope I don't know who this is. However don't miss the point of the post, It's not about Pastor Parsley, it's about praying for both parties.
